BHP 2006 GTO

Previous

We purchased this Cyclone Gray 2006 GTO in pieces with a blown engine, bad transmission, and the front end removed to prevent damage while the motor was being taken out. The car had a Procharger system installed on the stock engine, and the stock fuel system proved to be insufficient for the power levels the previous owner was trying to achieve. We Turned the stock 6.0 LS2 engine into a fully forged 402 cubic inch stroker, equipped with a custom ground BHP camshaft, Trick flow 225 heads, Roller Rockers, and a conservative 10:1 compression ratio. We put a Precision Industries Vigalante 3600 rpm Stall converter behind it, and built the stock 4L65E transmission to handle the added power! To make sure we never ran into a fuel issue, we installed a Lonnie's Performance twin 255 in tank fuel system, complete with Fulelab Filters and Regulator, Billet fuel rails, and braided teflon fuel line to prevent any leaks or fuel bleed-through. The primary pump runs all the time, and the second pump is controlled by a boost pressure switch which activates the secondary in-tank pump at 5 psi. A Procharger 'Big Red' race valve was installed to help relieve any excess boost pressure, and a Snow Performance Methanol injection system maintains a cool charge! The BHP GTO put down 670 horsepower to the rear wheels on 9 psi before the Methanol injection, and has yet to be tuned with the Meth!
